How will we deliver your order?

We’ve built our business with you in mind, so there’s always a delivery option to suit. Whatever the season, whatever your tastes, whatever your order – pop the kettle on and stick your feet up. We’ll be with you in no time.

We’ve made our delivery policy as clear as possible, so here’s how we’ll get your order to you.

Free one-person delivery

Your dream bedside table is on its way to you – those lazy coffee mornings in bed are within reach. Any small order (usually under 30kg) is normally eligible for free one-person delivery. If you’ve ordered before 1pm, we aim to get your order dispatched within a day and delivered within 7 working days, so you can start planning those slow Sundays.

We normally use DPD for our one-man deliveries. You will be provided with a one-hour delivery slot on the day, however if your plans change, you will be able to interact with this delivery message and re-arrange the delivery for a day that suits you. It is preferable that a mobile number is provided on the order, rather than a home phone number.

DPD won’t be able to bring your order into your house. If they deliver to your designated ‘safe place’, neither DPD nor Chiltern Oak can take responsibility for any damage once the item has been delivered.

Free two-person delivery

For larger orders we’ll send two people to deliver. They’ll take your order to your hallway or main entrance.

Our expert delivery teams know exactly what they’re doing and specialise in furniture deliveries. To guarantee everything goes smoothly, make sure halls and walkways are clear, and wooden floors, carpets and surfaces are properly protected to avoid any accidental damage.

At least two days before delivery, the delivery team will get in touch to confirm the estimated delivery time and anything else you need to know. To help you plan your day, we’ll give you a three-hour slot and ask you to confirm you’ll be home to accept the delivery. If you receive messages from ‘Rutland Furniture’ or ‘Rutland Furniture Sales’ – that’s us.

We always try to get your delivery to you in 5-10 working days, but if we’re really busy, we might extend this period to 12 days.

Please note that deliveries to the following Scottish postcode areas take place once-a-month, so the usual lead-times won’t apply:

Room of your choice delivery upgrade – two-person delivery (£14.99)

If you need your items delivered to a room of your choice, we can help. For a small fee, we will deliver the entire order to the room/s of your choosing, regardless of the number of items ordered. This is an add-on available at the checkout stage.

Depending on what you’ve ordered, this might involve carrying heavy objects through your home. So it’s really helpful if you make sure halls and walkways are clear, and wooden floors, carpets and surfaces are properly protected to avoid any accidental damage.

White glove delivery upgrade – two-person delivery (£50.00)

We can deliver your order, unbox it and assemble it (if needed) in a room of your choice, so you can get straight to work making it a part of your home. The white glove delivery upgrade is the best way to get your furniture delivered and assembled.

If you’re happy with everything you’ve received, we could also remove the packaging. Remember that you’ll need to keep the original packaging if you do decide to return the items you’ve purchased, which is worth bearing in mind.

The White Glove Delivery Service is an optional extra you can select in the checkout for an additional £50. This covers the entire order, regardless of the number of items on the order. Perfect if you’re either not keen on furniture assembly, or would prefer to spend your time doing something more enjoyable.

It’s best to make sure the delivery team has enough room to deliver, unbox and assemble your items. Please also take care to cover your items and surfaces to help avoid accidental damage. Please note that we don’t offer a removal service, so existing furniture will need to be removed prior to our arrival.

International orders and exclusions

We can only deliver to mainland UK, so if you’re looking for us to deliver further afield, you’ll need to source your own collection and delivery method. Please also consider the additional costs you may face in case of needing to make a return, as we can only collect returns from a mainland UK destination.

If you’re looking for your items to be delivered to an overseas location, please give us as much information as you can so that we can do our utmost to make the process as seamless as possible.
